Zephyr test details doesn't show up error - rendering com.thed.zephyr.je view issue step section

Problem:

After installation of Zephyr add-on over the atlassian market,  create a test case with test steps but it was not possible to see the test details section. Gives the below error .

This error is commonly seen in JIRA Server environments that have been setup to use a MySQL 5.7.6 database version or higher. 

The most common times when you might see this kind of error would be:

  • During an initial setup of JIRA
  • During a migration from Cloud to Server
  • If you have recently upgraded your database server or migrated your JIRA database to a different database server
  • During a plugin installation/update

Cause: permission issue

 

Solution - Grant permission to the users

Stop you JIRA sever . Please use the below query to grant permission in your database. And then restart you JIRA 

SQL COMMANDS
GRANT SELECT,INSERT,UPDATE,DELETE,CREATE,DROP,REFERENCES,ALTER,INDEX on <JIRADB>.* TO '<USERNAME>'@'<JIRA_SERVER_HOSTNAME>' IDENTIFIED BY '<PASSWORD>';
flush privileges;
