Issues in Linking Defects to Test Executions in JIRA Cloud and Server

Created on

Problem:

Sometimes, when we try to add or try to assign the existing defect to an execution it wont get linked, though the defect is created in Zephyr

Cause:

1) This could happen when the "Enable issue link from issues to tests" or "Enable remote link from issues to test executions" is not selected in the check boxes located in Add-ons Settings page.

See Attachment for the screenshot explaining above statement.

2) Check for the Link type for test--> Defect relation: is set to Relates

 Fix:

1) Try to tick/select the checkbox on the "Enable issue link from issues to tests and "Enable remote link from issues to test executions" located in the Add-ons settings page.

2) Check for the Link type for test--> Defect relation: is set to Relates and try to click on Reset.

3) Try re-indexing JIRA and then Zephyr for JIRA and clear cache in cloud.

4) Try to perform adding the defect to the test execution and check it will be added and linked.
