MySQL Configuration issue when installing Zephyr on Linux

Problem

In case one is receiving an error like “Please update MySQL configuration. Configuration parameter max_connection should be at least 500 (max_connection = 500) and max_allowed_packet should be at least 50 MB (max_allowed_packet = 50M)” while installing Zephyr on Linux.

 

Cause

MySQL Configuration parameters max_connections and max_allowed_packet settings from my.cnf file are ignored.

 

Fix

Please follow the below steps to address the above mentioned issue:

1 . Please log in to MySQL as root user from terminal and execute the following queries.

set global max_connections = 500;

set global max_allowed_packet = 52428800;

commit;

2. Log out from MySQL and restart your Zephyr installation.
