Problem

The user getting the following error "52101 Authentication Failed for defect tracking system. Please check the username password and try again.Attempt to log in user 'abc' failed. The maximum number of failed login attempts has been reached. Please log into the application through the web interface to reset the number of failed login attempts."

 

Cause

The maximum number of logins on the JIRA side was met.

 

Fix

When the maximum number of logins on the JIRA side was met, you will need to reset it on the JIRA side. After restting it, verify that the username and password for JIRA is correct in Zephyr and it should be ok.

Please follow the below stpes for resetting failed login count:

1) As the JIRA Administrator navigate to your users in Administration page.

2) Select the user it is failing on under <User Management>.

3)You can view the "Reset Failed Login Count" link below <Login Details> heading.
