Created on

Problem : Installed ZAPI Cloud and wondering how to make a REST call from POSTMAN

Solution : Follow the below steps to make a rest call from postman.

Prerequisites : POSTMAN Rest client, API, JWT token, AccessKey

Steps :

Create Final API : Replace the parameter values in the ZAPI Cloud API to be used, this is the final API used in POSTMAN

Sanple API : https://prod-api.zephyr4jiracloud.com/connect/public/rest/api/1.0/cycle/cycleId?versionId=&expand=&projectId=

Final API : https://prod-api.zephyr4jiracloud.com/connect/public/rest/api/1.0/cycle/00014478325372-242ac112-0001?versionId=1&projectId=10000

Generate JWT Token for final API : Generate JWT token using any programming language of your choice for the API. A java sample is provided on our knowledge base.

If you want to create JWT token of your own refer the below link for understanding JWT https://developer.atlassian.com/static/connect/docs/latest/concepts/understanding-jwt.html

Sample Token : JWT eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIOiJhZG1pbiIsInFzaCI6ImRmZTEyYjc2MmI0MjJjMjlmNDk1Y2MyYTRjN2NhMzdiMmUyNWFjNjIzdkMTdlZmYzZmZhOTk2NjkxOTI3YmUiLCJpc3MiOiJhbWx5WVRwbU1ESmhaVEprWkMxbVptRTVMVFE1TldZdFlUmlZeTFsWlRreakl3TXpnZ2VtRnNRR2RsZEhwbGNHaDVjaTVqYjIwZ1lXUnRhVzQiLCJleHAiOjE0ODQ4OTI3MDIsImlhdCI6MTQ4NDg5MjM0Mn0.yfnSdadSCBNeXMqDMzi7Jt-lB76F_h25wS0b8pUcdEo

Make call from POSTMAN : Copy the Final API to POSTMAN and provide below headers.
